BEFORE YOU EXTRACT

Audio questions,
answered.

Is extracting audio lossless?

No. This tool re-encodes the first audio track as a 192 kbps stereo MP3 at 44.1 kHz. Quality and channel layout can change. Use the audio metadata remover if you only want to remove supported tags without re-encoding.

Do you upload or store my files?

Local files are processed in your browser without being uploaded to Quiet Media Tools. Direct links are fetched by your browser from the source website, which receives that request. The extractor does not save a history of links or a server copy of your file.

What are the limits?

Input files are limited to 64 MiB and 15 minutes of readable audio. The MP3 output limit is 32 MiB. Source downloads stop after one minute and extraction stops after two minutes. Shorter files work better on mobile devices.
