Drop one file into the cleaner. Use a still JPG, PNG or WebP, or one of the supported audio and video formats.
Images become a fresh PNG without embedded metadata. Supported audio and video tracks are copied into a cleaned container.
Save the result once the checks finish. Keep your original if you need its credentials, color profile, subtitles or artwork.
KNOW WHAT CHANGES
JPG, PNG and WebP are decoded, redrawn and exported as PNG. Optional metadata is discarded, including embedded C2PA manifests, EXIF, GPS, XMP, IPTC and color profiles. AI prompts or generator details stored in those metadata fields are removed. Visible pixels and pixel-based watermarks remain.
MP3, M4A, WAV and FLAC lose supported titles, artist names, comments and artwork. The encoded audio stays intact. The cleaner does not remove signals or metadata embedded inside the encoded audio itself.
MP4, MOV and WebM retain their encoded picture and sound. Supported descriptive tags, chapters and optional metadata are removed, including supported embedded C2PA UUID boxes in MP4/MOV. Required playback data, timing and orientation remain. Subtitles and timed-data tracks are omitted.
Images must be 4,096 pixels per side or smaller. Animation, encrypted media and unsupported codecs are rejected. Read the complete removal scope.
It is an AI metadata remover. It removes supported embedded fields and credentials; it does not change how the media was made, prove human authorship, rewrite text, or guarantee a different AI detection score.
Content Credentials are signed provenance records that can describe a file's origin and editing history. They can accompany camera captures as well as AI-generated media, so their presence alone does not mean a file is AI-generated. This cleaner removes supported embedded copies without validating their signatures. Read the C2PA FAQ.

No. Watermarks can be embedded in the image pixels, audio or video signal itself. For example, Google's SynthID image watermark is designed to remain detectable when file metadata is lost. How SynthID works.
Potentially. Content fingerprints or invisible watermarks can reconnect media with externally stored credentials. Removing an embedded manifest does not delete those external records. Learn about durable Content Credentials.
