A LITTLE LESS DATA. A LITTLE MORE YOURS.

About Quiet Media Tools

Quiet Media Tools provides free browser tools for supported media metadata removal and MP3 audio extraction, without uploading selected local files.

What the tools do

A file can include details beyond its picture or sound: GPS coordinates, camera information, descriptions, editing tags or embedded Content Credentials. Quiet Media makes a separate copy with supported optional metadata removed. Your original file is never overwritten.

Files stay on your device

The cleaner processes selected files locally in your browser. The processing area is isolated from the site's advertising page. First-time audio and video use downloads about 31 MiB of processing software; this is a software download, not an upload of your media. Read the privacy policy for the distinction between file processing and website or advertising data.

Free, with optional advertising

No account or payment is required. All tools work without ads. The site can display advertising after you allow it; you can change that choice using Ad choices. Advertising does not unlock the download or alter the cleanup.

Clear limits before you share

Removing metadata does not make a file anonymous. Visible details, audible information, invisible watermarks and external records can remain. AI detection and platform labels may use signals beyond embedded metadata.

Images export as PNG and may change in color, bit depth or file size. Supported audio and video tracks are copied without re-encoding; subtitles, chapters, artwork and timed-data tracks are omitted. Required technical data can remain. Review the methodology and format limits and check the downloaded copy before sharing it.
