How the cleaner works
Do my files ever leave my device?

This tool processes your selected file locally. It does not upload the file, send its contents to an AI model, or create an account. Your browser downloads the tool's software; the audio/video engine loads only when needed. Read our file privacy details.

Will it remove “Made with AI” labels?

There is no guarantee. The tool removes supported embedded metadata and content credentials, but platforms can use other signals or user disclosures. Invisible watermarks, metadata inside encoded media packets, and externally stored C2PA credentials may remain.

Does cleaning change the quality?

Audio and video tracks are copied without re-encoding when supported. Images become PNG files: transparency and displayed orientation are preserved, while color conversion and bit depth can change. PNG files may be larger. Required playback information stays in media files.

What are the file limits?

Images can be up to 20 MiB and 4,096 pixels per side. Audio and video can be up to 64 MiB. Animated images, encrypted media, and unsupported codecs are rejected. The preparation display lasts at least three seconds; larger media and first-time loading take longer.

What happens to subtitles and cover art?

Clean media copies include audio and video tracks. Cover art, chapters, subtitles, and timed-data tracks are omitted. The original file is never changed, so keep it if you need those extras.

Is this a C2PA verification tool?

No. It removes supported embedded manifest containers; it does not verify signatures, certify authenticity, or prove that a file is anonymous. See the removal scope and limits.
